The Monarch butterfly is known for it's strikingly beautiful orange and black pattern which has an infinite subtle variety of orange, copper and brown tones. It got it's name from the early settlers who they named it "Monarch," after King William, Prince of Orange, who was later named King of England. They are famous for migrating every year up to 3000 miles from the Northern US to Mexico. Sub species are found in other places like South America and Europe.
